Applies to all hardware, software and services supplied by GenFarmer, including every Android Device Lab product.
Effective: December 2024 · Version 1.0
1. Governing principle
Every account operated through a GenFarmer system must have a real owner behind it, and the customer must either own that account or hold valid authorisation to operate it.
GenFarmer supplies operational automation tooling. What we sell is the ability to do faster and at greater scale the things a business is already entitled to do with its own digital assets. We do not supply, and we do not permit our products to be used to manufacture, an audience or a level of support that does not actually exist.
2. Permitted use
Allowed
Publishing, scheduling and distributing content to pages, groups and channels owned by the customer, or authorised in writing by their owner.
Centrally managing a business’s fan pages across multiple branches, regions and markets.
Agencies operating accounts their own clients have granted them access to, under a service agreement.
Receiving and responding to comments and messages sent by real users on their own initiative.
Using AI assistance to draft, localise and produce content variants for each market.
Application testing, performance testing and advertising creative testing on real devices.
Aggregating and reporting on content performance across accounts the customer manages.
3. Prohibited conduct
The conduct below is prohibited without exception. A breach results in termination of the right to use the product, with no refund.
3.1 Impersonation and accounts with no real owner
Creating, buying, renting, borrowing or operating accounts that impersonate another individual, organisation, public authority or brand.
Operating accounts with no real person behind them for the purpose of interacting with third-party content.
Using accounts that are neither owned by the customer nor validly authorised.
Buying, selling, trading or renting social media accounts.
3.2 Fake engagement and manipulation of perception
Generating likes, comments, shares, follows, views or listens that do not reflect genuine interest from real users.
Commenting from multiple accounts in order to manufacture the appearance of public agreement or opposition.
Inflating livestream views, hearts or comments using accounts with no real viewer behind them.
Pushing content into trending placements through inauthentic engagement.
Interfering with the results of online polls, surveys, reviews or rankings.
3.3 Manipulation of public opinion and false information
Campaigns designed to steer public opinion on politics, religion, ethnicity, national sovereignty or state policy.
Distributing false information, fabricated news or unverified claims likely to cause public alarm.
Defamation, reputational attacks or coordinated targeting of an individual, business or organisation.
Manufacturing or amplifying a fake media crisis in order to damage a third party.
Manipulating securities, cryptocurrency or property markets through coordinated information campaigns.
Promoting gambling, betting, prohibited or counterfeit goods, or unlicensed pharmaceuticals and supplements.
Pornographic or violent content, or any content involving the exploitation of children.
Unlawful collection, purchase or sale of personal data.
Sending bulk messages or advertising to recipients who have not consented to receive them.
3.5 Circumventing platform controls
Using the product where the primary purpose is to defeat a platform’s detection, moderation or policy-enforcement systems.
Restoring the operation of an account a platform has suspended for a violation.
Concealing the identity of an advertiser where the law requires it to be disclosed.
4. Customer responsibilities
The customer is fully responsible for the content, accounts and campaigns they run on the system.
The customer warrants that they hold lawful rights over every account they put into operation, and can produce evidence of authorisation on GenFarmer’s request.
The customer is responsible for complying with the terms of service of each social platform. GenFarmer does not represent, is not affiliated with, and gives no undertaking on behalf of Meta, TikTok, Google, Spotify or any other platform.
The customer must comply with the law of Vietnam and with the law of any jurisdiction in which a campaign is run.
On account risk — stated plainly to avoid misunderstanding
Automating actions, including on accounts you own outright, may still fall within the scope of a platform’s terms of use and may lead to restriction or suspension of the account. GenFarmer does not undertake that a customer’s accounts will not be restricted and gives no guarantee of any kind regarding avoidance of platform enforcement. Customers should weigh this risk before deploying.
